Booked.net misled mé by claiming and showing ón a map of Columbia that I would be only five blocks from Five Points. I spent hours driving from Days inn to Days Inn in Columbia first out Garner's Ferry ( the extension of Devine) and I finally settled for the one by Columbia. Mall (95 % African American shopping) although they had not received my reservation either. You misled me about he location, sent me driving around for hours using the map you had supplied, and the reservation had not been place. How do you rate yourselves?

I was happy to get to come to Columbia because I was born there
My husband and I were there because he had business with our lawyer,The deposition ran late so I called the desk and explained that we road in the same car in which he had with him and i ask for an hour extention on our check out.The woman at the desk said that was not possible Even explaining to her in detail the horrible situation I was in, no cash on me,no where to go and barely knowing where I was.I panicked,I called the 800 days in number and explained things to a kind lady, she told me to stay on hold while she spoke to the desk and came back on and said I could stay another, but any thing after that we would have to pay 25.00 more which was fine,we were not looking for anything for free.I had never been so afraid in my life nor been so rude to.I have written an ad that i plan to run in the travel news papers as well as every paper I can find next week hoping this will not ever happen to another guest. Please look into this for me as well...Thank You Donna Dickerson

The room was filthy, holes in the walls, stains on the walls and in the tub, the parking lot was littered with food wrappers and a used condom!! The dead roach in the lobby was unappealing. The shower did not properly work. Very disgusted with this booking!!

Our stay was very comfortable, we loved the convenient location, and we are definitely planning to return soon to this recently renovated double room with a comfortable bed.

Not much, just the price (which was almost not worth it!)
The rooms were borderline dirty (stains all over the place: the curtains, the bed linens, the mattress, the shower curtain etc.). Someone had already opened the coffee packet, which was an indication that the cleaning crew had not replaced the items. I brought the opened packet to the front desk to get a replacement. They told me that they did not have any more regular coffee and would send someone to bring me a new one (it was 10pm by this point). No one had come by midnight. Breakfast was disgusting! They had pastries and doughnuts, but they were incredibly stale. There was also a waffle maker with batter, but there was already a used batter cup in the dispenser that appeared to have been sitting there for quite some time (which was an indication that the batter may not have been changed in a long time; this is a health hazard). I have stayed in many budget hotels, but this one has let themselves go a little too far. I was uncomfortable and I will not be staying there again. I will pay a little extra to go somewhere that at least has the decency to maintain clean facilities and better customer service. Good luck with your business in the future, you may need it.

I liked that it was close to the places I needed to get to during my stay. It met my needs just fine.
The only two negatives that I can think of is that the ice machine on the lower level didn't work and the area worried me a little, if I were staying there alone I wouldn't feel comfortable. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.

Very dirty. Someone cooked on a hibachi grill outside our roo and smell permeated room and made me ill. Wood shavings on floor when we arrived and were not cleaned up. Tried to double charge us fortunately I had printed paper off, but they did give my husband a rough time.

The room was newly renovated and the floor was in excellent condition. The furniture was clean and comfortable. I had no trouble with the hot water and all the listed amenities were provided. The staff at night was very friendly and helpful. Despite the minor inconvenience of the stairs being blocked off, I felt safe during my stay. The location was convenient for my needs. I had a pleasant experience at Magnuson Hotel. I would recommend this hotel to others.

the pillows
Horrible service. My family and I were traveling from Illinois and they called us one day before to let us know the hotel was closing due to a new buyer. We had booked reservations 1 month before. We had to to look for a new hotel the night of arrival. Very inconvenient.

We waited in line at the night window, trying to check in, for 30 minutes. The room smelled like it hadn't been cleaned and the bathroom tile/floor was dirty and moldy.
